Overview In this role you lead the clinical laboratory operations across the Vancouver Clinic system, ensuring accurate and timely patient testing while driving operational excellence. You will mentor a high-performing team, uphold regulatory compliance, and guide strategic lab initiatives to expand services and improve patient care. The position sits within the Laboratory department and reports to the Laboratory and Pathology Administrative Director. You will shape laboratory practices through continuous improvement and strong service orientation, delivering measurable impact in quality, safety, and finances.

Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all laboratory operations across the clinical system
- Ensure accurate, timely testing and reliable result reporting
- Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain regulatory compliance, quality, and safety programs
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, and cost management
- Develop, mentor, and manage direct reports to build a high-performing team
- Lead expansion of laboratory services to support patient care
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support strategic initiatives
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree from NACLS-accredited MT or MLS program
- MLS (ASCP) or MT (ASCP) certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a certified technologist/scientist
- At least 1 year in a lab leadership role (supervisor or manager)
- Proven experience in leading, managing, and developing direct reports
