Overview In this role you will own the end-to-end accounting close and support global month-end procedures to enable accurate, timely reporting. You will work with FP&A to produce monthly packages and drive improvements through AI-enabled processes. The position sits at the intersection of finance and technology, shaping a scalable, AI-native finance function. You'll partner across teams to optimize controls, automate workflows, and prepare for audits, contributing to Sierra's growth and transformation.

Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end accounting close
- Support global month-close procedures
- Prepare reconciliations for cash, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll, accruals
- Assist with close management software implementation
- Review expenses for accuracy and robustness of accruals
- Collaborate with FP&A on monthly reporting and variance analysis
- Handle daily ad hoc accounting tasks
- Review vendor bills, corporate cards, and employee reimbursements
- Manage daily cash application and monitor balances globally
- Improve collections via automated processes
- Coordinate payroll journal entries and payroll taxes
- Prepare for audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors
- Drive finance transformation using AI and tooling at scale
- Enhance or upgrade tech stack to support AI initiatives
- Challenge processes and foster an AI-first approach
Key requirements- 4-8 years accounting experience in public and private companies
- Proficient in US GAAP
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities and build AI-enabled solutions
- Desire to drive operational efficiency to scale accounting
