Overview

As Technical Service Manager for Ductless/VRF you provide hands-on field support and training to contractors, distributors, and Carrier teams. You help troubleshoot issues, coordinate warranty matters, and support installation start-up and controls integration. You will develop and deliver multi-day training, onsite assistance, and data-driven solutions to improve service quality. Your work strengthens product offerings and customer satisfaction across the region, connecting field needs with product and process improvements. This role offers a meaningful impact by shaping technical service delivery at scale within Carrier's climate solutions portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance to direct sales, distributors, and Carrier Commercial Service offices via various channels and on-site visits
  • Support problem resolution by gathering and sharing relevant data with internal teams
  • Conduct multi-day hands-on installation and service training for contractors and internal service managers
  • Develop training materials for technical meetings and distributor events
  • Provide on-site jobsite assistance for installation, troubleshooting, and start-up
  • Collaborate with factories and product managers to refine offerings and streamline service processes
  • Use system software to start-up and troubleshoot projects
  • Negotiate and process disputed warranty claims across distributors, direct sales, and Carrier offices
  • Support corporate policies, ethics, EH&S, and quality initiatives
  • Track and report monthly expenses
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years VRF or Ductless field experience, OR 7+ years VRF or Ductless field experience
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Travel up to 75% of the year; willingness for frequent and short-notice travel
  • Quiet remote space with high-speed internet for work from home

  • Troubleshooting all aspects of commercial HVAC systems
