Overview In this role you will support loan-related insurance review activities for commercial and real estate-secured loans, ensuring coverage and forms meet credit policies and regulatory obligations. You collaborate with lending, compliance, servicing, and insurers to address gaps, maintain accurate records, and strengthen collateral protection. You perform file and portfolio reviews, assist with regulatory examinations, and translate regulatory changes into updated processes for lenders. This role emphasizes risk management, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination to safeguard loan files and compliance.
Responsibilities- Examine insurance documentation for commercial and real estate-secured loans before and after closing to confirm flood determinations, forms, and coverage details are complete and accurate
- Assess property, casualty, liability, flood, and other insurance requirements for alignment with credit policy and loan conditions prior to closing
- Collaborate with lenders, loan servicing, compliance, and insurance agencies to fix missing information, resolve exceptions, and elevate high-risk compliance issues
- Maintain organized tracking records for policy terms, coverage amounts, expiration dates, and changes affecting flood zones or requirements
- Perform file audits and portfolio reviews to identify issues and support risk management
- Assist with regulatory examinations, updates to procedures, and training related to lending partners
- Monitor regulatory developments in insurance and flood compliance and adapt processes and guidance accordingly
- Follow regulatory and compliance expectations, including reporting suspicious activity and completing annual training
- Provide administrative and operational support related to insurance review and loan documentation as needed
