Overview As SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Manager, you will ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and SEC rules. You'll translate complex transactions into clear disclosures and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality financial information. Responsibilities- Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A
- Research complex accounting matters, create technical memoranda, and document conclusions for significant transactions
- Partner with cross-functional teams to assess accounting implications of new products and strategic initiatives
- Monitor emerging accounting standards and SEC rulemaking, supporting implementation of new requirements
- Improve financial reporting processes, controls, and disclosures, exploring AI/automation to enhance efficiency and maintain quality
- Support external audits and quarterly reviews by coordinating deliverables and auditor requests
- Design, execute, and enhance internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) related to SEC reporting
- Complete special projects such as benchmarking, accounting research, and disclosure enhancement initiatives
- Lead finance transformation efforts and adoption of best practices across reporting functions
Key requirements- 4+ years of experience in SEC reporting, technical accounting, public accounting, or related field
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, and financial statement preparation
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; effective research and clear communication of conclusions
- Collaborates well across Finance and business teams; receptive to changing priorities and feedback
- Proactive mindset toward process improvement, reporting controls, and team effectiveness
