Overview In this role, you will lead the shared services function for AR and AP within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You'll partner with the Controller and CFO to ensure accurate, timely financial processes and strong internal controls. You'll mentor a accounting team, drive process improvements, and address payment discrepancies across internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities- Oversee daily AR and AP operations and drive timely collections and payments
- Approve company Amazon purchases and reconcile labor claim payments (WEX)
- Manage AR to optimize collections and mentor a high-performance accounting team
- Enhance AR/AP processes for accuracy and efficiency
- Monitor AR/AP aging and resolve discrepancies; collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Manage daily EDI transactions and resolve related data discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Prepare financial reports for Controller & CFO and support system enhancements
- Oversee cash disbursements (ACH, Wire) and assist with credit and collections
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to document and automate accounting processes
- Participate in audits providing documentation and explanations
- Monthly reconciliations of G/L to subledgers for A/R, A/P, V/P, and WEX
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 3-5 years in AR/AP management in manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
- Experience with Infor Syteline ERP or other ERP systems
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
