Overview In this role you help deliver complex tax services for partnership clients, focusing on planning, compliance, and advisory work. You will lead multidisciplinary client engagements, drive tax strategies, and mentor staff to ensure quality and timely delivery. You'll liaise with clients and tax authorities to manage expectations and resolve issues, shaping tax solutions across diverse industries. This is a growth-oriented opportunity to develop leadership while deepening Sub-chapter K expertise within a collaborative, client-focused firm.
Responsibilities- Facilitate reviews of complex partnership tax returns and provide consulting
- Evaluate tax implications of partnership agreements and manage IRC 704(b) accounts
- Lead client engagements, plan and complete tax projects, and develop tax planning strategies
- Mentor and evaluate staff performance on tax projects and year-end reviews
- Research and advise on Subchapter K partnership taxation and use tax software for returns and research
- Respond to IRS and other tax authorities inquiries
- Maintain proactive client communication to manage expectations and deadlines
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (or related field)
- CPA or licensed attorney (Bar)
- 5+ years of progressive tax compliance/consulting experience in public accounting or related field
- Strong analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with knowledge of partnership returns and Subchapter K taxation
- Excellent client service, communication, and relationship-building abilities
- Leadership, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced environment
