Overview

In this role you lead Maritime finance, guiding financial planning, forecasting, and program finance to enable rapid growth and improved performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to translate data into actionable insights and scalable processes. You'll build and manage a dedicated finance group, own KPI dashboards, and communicate financial findings to executives. This position offers visibility in a fast-paced defense context with meaningful impact on top- and bottom-line results.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Maritime Business Line Leaders to provide financial leadership and fractional CFO-level support
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and division/product/program financial reporting
  • Analyze performance vs. forecasts, identify trends, and explain variances
  • Collaborate with senior finance leaders to enhance systems, tools, and processes
  • Develop executive-level reporting and present financial insights to senior management
  • Build and scale a high-performing finance team with best practices and governance
  • Own KPI dashboards, alerting, and investigation of KPI health
  • Oversee customer program reporting, monthly invoicing, and monthly financial status reporting
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 5-10 years of finance experience in Defense, Large Manufacturing, or Government contracting
  • 3-5 years in a leadership role
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, data analysis tools, and ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, Oracle EPM, Oracle ERP, Foundry)
  • Proven track record of end-to-end ownership in a finance function
  • Strong analytical curiosity and ability to dissect complex quantitative problems
  • Excellent written and oral communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
  • Authorized to work in the United States; security clearance eligible
