Research Associate II - Cancer Biology and Molecular Medicine

In this role you support cutting-edge molecular medicine research at City of Hope, working within the John Williams lab to explore structural and biophysical properties of macromolecular complexes. You will perform and supervise laboratory experiments, analyze data, and help translate findings toward new tools and therapeutics. You collaborate with researchers to troubleshoot, improve methods, and train staff, all while maintaining safety and meticulous records. This position fits a mission-driven institute pursuing transformative advances in disease prediction, prevention, and treatment.

• Conduct routine and specialized laboratory experiments in Molecular Medicine
• Direct lab work and collaborate on research projects under supervision
• Record, validate, and analyze experiment results; troubleshoot as needed
• Independently evaluate data and suggest alternative approaches for improvement
• Train lab staff in specialized procedures, equipment, and theoretical concepts
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures when handling bio-hazardous materials

• Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related field
• 2 years of post-degree research experience or 1 year with a Master's degree
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in lab work
