Overview In this Principal-level role, you shape the strategy and execution of participant recruitment for both B2C and B2B research. You will lead scalable panel development and partner with researchers, product teams, legal/compliance, and vendors to advance AI-enabled and synthetic participation methods. You'll balance human and synthetic participants, guiding responsible integration in a regulated research ecosystem. This role combines deep recruiting expertise with hands-on AI experimentation to drive high-quality insights.
Responsibilities- Lead strategy and execution of participant recruitment across B2C and B2B research
- Build and optimize research panels and communities
- Collaborate with researchers, product, Legal, Compliance, and external vendors
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled research methods, including agents and synthetic users
- Determine when human, synthetic, or hybrid participation is appropriate
- Manage vendor relationships and sourcing partnerships
- Develop scalable frameworks for participant sourcing and panel management
- Support compliance with regulations in a highly regulated industry
Key requirements- 8-10+ years in participant recruitment, research operations, UX research, or related field
- Deep expertise recruiting both B2C and B2B participants, including enterprise decision-makers
- Experience building and scaling participant panels or research communities
- Proven success developing recruiting strategies for qualitative and quantitative research at scale
- Vendor management and sourcing partnerships experience
- Hands-on experience building or deploying AI agents to automate workflows
- Experience with synthetic users, synthetic personas, or AI-generated participant models
- Framework development for deciding between human, synthetic, or hybrid participation
- Familiarity with User Interviews, UserTesting, dscout, Respondent, Qualtrics and similar tools
- Strong communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in highly regulated industries preferred
