Senior Manager - Payroll

In this role you will lead and optimize multi-state US and Canada payroll, including equity-related tasks, while ensuring regulatory compliance. You will work cross-functionally with Employee Success, Accounting, IT, and external vendors to sustain data integrity and improve payroll operations. You will develop a remote payroll team and maintain SOX controls, balancing speed with accuracy. • Manage semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll across US states and Canada, including equity-related tasks
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll taxes and multi-state employment requirements
• Drive payroll process improvements and automation
• Collaborate with Employee Success, Accounting, IT, and vendors to resolve issues and improve operations
• Lead and develop a remote payroll team with cross-training and reliable coverage
• Stay current on evolving payroll compliance requirements
• Coordinate payroll journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations with Accounting
• Oversee payroll-related SOX controls and respond to audit requests

• Progressive payroll experience
• 5+ years in payroll management
• Hands-on multi-state US and Canada payroll processing
• Experience with Workday and ADP
• Experience processing equity compensation (RSUs and stock options) and related taxes
• Experience with mobility tax (state-to-state or country-to-country)
