Cost Management Campus Lead

In this role you drive the financial and contractual success of Maryland data center builds, partnering with the Regional Construction Director. You shape commercial strategies, cost controls, and funding support across multi-project programs. You will work on complex, multi-year datacenter initiatives, ensuring value and risk are managed from design through handover. The position offers impact at scale within Microsoft's Cloud First mission and a culture of inclusion and collaboration. You will be a key link between on-site execution and Redmond governance, delivering trusted outcomes.

• Collaborate with the Campus DCD Construction Director to commercially manage regional projects
• Provide on-site commercial management to protect Microsoft's financial and contractual interests
• Oversee commercial issues across current and future projects and report to Redmond regularly
• Manage GC commercial activities from RFP through final payments, GMP, change orders, and funding reviews
• Coordinate with program vendors (AE, Cx, Inspections, PMQS, QRA) for proposals, invoicing, and closeout
• Manage QS firm engagement, onboarding, resources, MBUs, and invoice payments
• Produce monthly cost reports with PMQS, GC, and project controls for Redmond review
• Support PER funding with scheduling of funding intervals and option cost scenarios
• Provide design-phase commercial support (business cases, value engineering, change control)
• Assist site selection with constructability reports and site-specific estimates, including funding/PO support
• Develop and implement a regional commercial playbook and ensure consistent execution
• Embed Microsoft culture and values in daily work

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field and 10+ years of related experience or equivalent experience
• Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check on hire and every two years
• U.S. citizenship verification required due to government-related work
