Overview As HR Director at our Jefferson City transformer factory, you drive people strategy in a large, global manufacturing setting. You align plant HR priorities with global goals, lead a cross-functional HR team, and ensure compliant, effective workplace relations. You'll shape performance, talent, learning, and engagement initiatives to support business growth. This role offers meaningful impact by partnering with leaders to sustain a high-performance culture at scale.
Responsibilities- Align HR strategy with group/global objectives to support culture, people, and organization at the factory
- Partner with managers and employees to address issues through HR practices, processes, or policies
- Oversee factory-level HR process implementation ensuring policy compliance
- Support performance management activities including reviews, development needs, and termination actions
- Drive talent processes with Business Leaders focusing on identification, succession, and diversity and inclusion
- Collaborate on learning needs and development for individuals and critical populations
- Monitor turnover and engagement, implement measures to optimize attrition and morale
- Represent HR in day-to-day employee relations, welfare, counseling, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes
- Oversee labor relations activities with CoE and Country HR, advise on legislation and crises
- Ensure compliance with global/local standards, rules, tools, policies, and processes
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience
- Experience in collective bargaining negotiations
- Proven leadership of teams and HR projects with strategic oversight
- Experience with HRIS tools; preferred: Workday, SAP, Taleo
