Overview In this role you will lead and support construction estimating activities, guiding bid preparation and cost analysis for multiple projects. You will mentor junior staff, maintain historical cost data, and collaborate with operations and trade partners to ensure accurate, timely estimates. You'll translate plans and specifications into reliable takeoffs and price projections, shaping the preconstruction strategy and fee approach. This is a hands-on role that blends technical analysis with team leadership in a fast-paced project environment.

Responsibilities- Lead one or more estimate/budget/pursuit efforts and support others on estimating pursuits
- Mentor estimating staff and train interns/project engineers
- Diagnose errors in subcontractor estimates and review takeoffs
- Prepare quantity takeoffs and material pricing; develop conceptual estimates
- Create subcontractor bid lists and manage bid day activities
- Review plans/specifications and generate VE/VM logs
- Set up/align General Conditions and General Requirements with Operations
- Generate scope sheets for CSI divisions; support self-perform trades decisions
- Provide estimating support to jobsite staff and bids post-bid buyouts
- Maintain historical costs and assist with supplier relationships
Key requirements- Minimum 3 years of estimating or related experience
- Ability to read and understand specifications, drawings, and BIM models
- Strong judgement and risk assessment abilities
- Proficiency in estimating software (Excel, Bluebeam, Revit, Destini, or equivalents)
- Working knowledge of current construction costs and principles
