Construction Supervisor

Overview

As a Construction Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate field construction activities on electric transmission, distribution, and substation projects. You will work on client sites to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met while maintaining environmental compliance. You'll collaborate with contracted workforces to develop plans, and provide weekly updates on progress. This role anchors project delivery and requires strong leadership in a safety-conscious, client-facing environment. The opportunity offers career development within a Top 100 ENR engineering firm and exposure to large-scale utility projects.

Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive leadership to the contractor workforce to meet safety, design, and environmental objectives
  • Develop complete Work Proposals including work plan, schedule, Safety & Health Plan, and outage plan
  • Identify and assign external resources to support work plans, schedule, and budget
  • Interface with stakeholders to understand contract program needs and ensure commitments are met on time and within budget
  • Participate in conference calls/meetings to provide weekly updates, crew activity, and reports
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience in transmission/distribution, overhead line or substation construction and operations/maintenance of electric facilities
  • Knowledge of federal, state, OSHA, local, and environmental regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with self-direction and motivation
  • Ability to read construction field documents (prints, schematics, one-line diagrams) and apply to construct, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment
