Overview In this role you will steward Cboe's IT asset base, ensuring accurate inventory and lifecycle governance across servers, storage, networking, and EUC devices. You'll partner with Infrastructure, security, and project teams to connect asset data to the broader IT operations picture and support cost optimization and compliance. You will drive asset visibility, audits, and policy enforcement while enabling smooth project resourcing and regulatory readiness. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that shapes how we track, secure, and dispose of assets at scale.
Responsibilities- Maintain the inventory database of record for all IT assets (servers, storage, networking equipment, EUC devices) ensuring data is current
- Monitor the full lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal
- Conduct regular data center audits to verify inventory accuracy and policy compliance
- Oversee secure onsite hardware disposal with internal teams and external vendors
- Integrate asset management with configuration management for a complete IT operations view
- Administer IT asset management tools, including network discovery scanning
- Strengthen and enforce asset management policies covering security, compliance, and risk management
- Perform annual software license reconciliations for compliance and cost optimization
- Collaborate with Infrastructure teams and project managers for asset allocation
- Coordinate global IT hardware shipments between company locations
- Produce reports on asset utilization, performance metrics, and financial analysis
- Identify and drive process improvements in asset tracking, reporting, and lifecycle management
- Escalate and report asset status and issues to senior management and relevant teams
- Assist with regulatory exams by providing documentation and responses to inquiries
- Perform additional activities as needed
Key requirements- Proven experience in IT asset management, software asset management, configuration management or comparable field
- Strong understanding of IT platforms, infrastructure components, and asset management tools
- Experience in managing hardware and software assets at an enterprise level and/or high-security environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cross-functional collaboration
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments/projects
- Hands-on data center experience including physical asset audits, inventory reconciliation, asset tagging and barcode/RFID scanning, and rack/cabinet layouts
- Certification preferred: CHAMP, CSAM, and/or ITIL
