Overview

As Actuary & Director of Annuity Product Innovation, you will lead the research, testing, and development of innovative annuity offerings. You'll work with multiple stakeholders to ensure products meet pricing, profitability, and risk targets while addressing customer retirement income needs. You'll guide R&D phases and translate complex analytics into market-ready solutions that align with the company's risk and capital strategies. This role offers a pathway to shape annuity products at scale within a purpose-driven, collaborative culture.

Responsibilities
  • Design and price innovative, market-competitive annuity products
  • Lead the R&D, research, development, and viability phases as lead actuary
  • Create educational materials to explain annuity features, benefits, risks, and trade-offs
  • Ensure product development aligns with divisional and enterprise strategies
  • Collect and analyze market feedback to identify enhancement opportunities
  • Identify key risks, hedging considerations, and option trade-offs in annuity designs
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders to avoid misalignment in early stages
  • Provide technical support to implementation teams (IT, Compliance, Marketing, Operations)
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of annuity product development experience
  • FSA designation
  • Proven track record delivering innovative annuity solutions
  • Strong project leadership and cross-functional influence
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Deep knowledge of economic, regulatory, and market factors affecting annuities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Extensive actuarial modeling experience and ability to review model results
