Risk Advisor - Commercial Lines

Overview

In this sales oriented role, you will develop and close commercial lines business for Towne Insurance in Charlotte, leveraging bank leads and your network. You'll gather client information, prepare and present proposals, and ensure policies are bound on time. You will manage renewals, endorsements, and client inquiries to maintain accurate accounts and foster relationships. The position combines customer focus with insurance product knowledge to drive growth and client satisfaction. You join a mission driven firm that values service, education, and community impact.

Responsibilities
  • Contact leads in a timely manner
  • Gather information from insured and other sources to determine which companies to quote and place account with
  • Complete Acord or company specific applications
  • Obtain quotes or assist marketing in obtaining quotes from underwriter personnel
  • Present proposals to insureds
  • Verify that all policies are bound with insurance companies in writing prior to or on the effective date of the policy
  • Assist with financing options and determine pay plan
  • Check new business policies for accuracy
  • Contact insured as needed for collecting outstanding balances and maintain current balances
  • Coordinate renewals, endorsements, audits, cancellations, claims, finance agreements, certificates and other requests with CSR
  • Maintain active P&C license and pursue continuing education
  • Attend office and company meetings
  • Flag AML/BSA compliance requirements
  • Handle other duties as necessary
