Overview As HR Compensation Manager, you will lead enterprise compensation programs and governance, shaping base pay, incentives, and job architecture to support market competitiveness and internal equity. You will drive compensation strategies for mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes, partnering with HR, Finance, Legal, and operations. You'll oversee compensation technology, annual planning, and data-driven analyses to inform pay decisions. This role offers impact across workforce planning, governance, and strategic transformation.
Responsibilities- Design, administer, and govern enterprise compensation programs (base pay, salary structures, incentives, differentials, premiums, job architecture)
- Lead integration of compensation strategies for mergers, acquisitions, affiliations, and organizational changes
- Ensure market competitiveness, internal equity, and alignment with business objectives through compensation design
- Oversee compensation technology (configuration, testing, reporting, workflow, governance)
- Lead annual compensation planning and pay-for-performance programs (merit cycles, budgeting, communication, implementation)
- Conduct complex analyses, financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning
- Provide guidance on job evaluations, market pricing, offers, promotions, and career progression
- Oversee market benchmarking, salary surveys, and compensation analytics
- Establish policies, controls, and governance for compensation
- Collaborate with leaders to align compensation with workforce planning and business priorities
- Develop compensation communications, tools, and resources for consistent pay decisions
- Lead and develop compensation staff and ensure high-quality execution
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (minimum)
- Minimum seven years of progressively responsible compensation experience
- Experience leading enterprise compensation initiatives and cross-functional partnerships
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions, including pay alignment and integration planning
- Experience with compensation technology (design, configuration, testing, implementation, reporting, data validation)
- Healthcare or other complex, regulated industry experience preferred
