Overview As the university's senior HR executive, you will shape the people strategy to attract, develop, engage, and retain a high-quality workforce. You will advise the VP for Finance & Administration and collaborate with leadership to align human capital with strategic priorities while ensuring regulatory compliance. You'll lead an innovative, service-oriented HR organization focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong employer brand. This role offers a chance to influence workforce planning, compensation strategy, and HR technology to position the university as an employer of choice.
Responsibilities- Advise executive leadership on workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness
- Lead enterprise-wide workforce planning initiatives
- Serve as advisor on organizational change and present HR recommendations to leadership and board as appropriate
- Build strategic partnerships across the University and TAMU System
- Oversee organizational design, business process improvement, workforce analytics, and change management
- Lead succession planning, retention strategies, and leadership development
- Oversee recruitment, employer branding, candidate experience, and talent pipeline development
- Direct HR technology leadership including HRIS modernization, workflow automation, and AI-assisted HR technologies where appropriate
- Provide executive coaching and manage executive compensation and market salary studies
- Develop policies and procedures, and strengthen HR service and customer satisfaction
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree
- Ten years progressively responsible HR leadership
- Five years leading professional HR staff
