Overview

In this role you apply agronomic expertise to improve yield and seed quality in production. You will work with production teams to implement new technologies and drive sustainable improvements across the seed supply chain. You'll lead field and lab activities, coordinate experiments and trials, and support cross-functional initiatives to meet evolving customer needs. This position offers hands-on work across field, lab, and project portfolios with a focus on continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities to boost yield and seed quality in seeds production
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments to implement new technologies
  • Drive innovations benefiting the seed supply chain and sustainability
  • Support NA seeds production field and process technology project portfolio alignment and results communication
  • Coordinate day-to-day field and process technology activities and manage site personnel workload
  • Lead the NA SPR Pollen Lab to improve efficiency and data quality and expand lab capabilities
  • Assist with experimental design and trial creation across field and process technology projects
  • Ensure proper execution of field activities (planting, maintenance, harvest) including data collection and plot maintenance
  • Manage routine site tasks such as tillage, soil sampling, fertilizer application, and harvest activities
  • Prepare for timely experiment execution and completion across projects
  • Oversee harvest stand counts and plot harvesting in fall
Key requirements
  • Seeds production knowledge across crops (3 years of industry experience)
  • Strong understanding of experimental design and statistical analysis
  • Experience with AI-driven tools in a work setting
  • Appreciation of statistical or modeling approaches
  • Organizational, planning, and proactive leadership abilities
  • Effective communication and ability to build relationships with customers
  • Cross-functional and multi-cultural project management aptitude
  • LEAN Six Sigma certification desired
