Overview

As a Senior Medical Science Liaison, you will be the scientific resource for obesity-focused clinicians and decision makers, helping to advance Amgen's obesity portfolio and medical strategy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to share data, discuss clinical value, and support investigator-initiated research while ensuring compliant, balanced scientific exchange. This role offers field-based engagement across Utah and Nevada, contributing to broader patient access and care improvements. You will work closely with the Obesity MSL Lead to shape medical strategy and educate stakeholders about new data and outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with Opinion Leaders, healthcare providers, and decision makers to discuss and advance the scientific platform aligned with company goals
  • Interact with clinical investigators and sites to support the obesity pipeline
  • Communicate clinical and economic data to PHDMs and other institutions
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to extend Amgen's reach for patient access
  • Provide in-depth scientific exchanges and ensure compliance with MSL standards
  • Support Amgen-sponsored research and potentially lead studies
  • Liaise with investigators in non-sponsored research
  • Share field observations to inform strategy
  • Lead and support congress activities and speaker training
  • Mentor other MSLs and complete administrative tasks (CRM, expense reports, compliance)
  • Maintain and enhance clinical/scientific acumen and stakeholder relationships
  • Build strong relationships with external stakeholders and communicate scientific data effectively
Key requirements
  • Doctorate degree & 2 years of Medical Affairs experience OR
  • Master's degree & 6 years of Medical Affairs experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree & 8 years of Medical Affairs experience.
