Overview In this role you will support a leading international law firm's Insurance Coverage Practice by analyzing complex insurance policies and providing actionable coverage opinions. You will work within a collaborative team to handling high-value coverage disputes and market conduct matters for domestic and international insurers. You will draft litigation-related documents, participate in depositions, mediations, and trials, and communicate directly with clients. The position offers hands-on policy analysis, client exposure, and mentorship within a respected practice. Responsibilities- Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions
- Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research tools
- Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
- Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses
- Review and analyze document collections in preparation for litigation
- Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers
- Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives with efficiency and precision
Key requirements- 5-7 years of substantive litigation experience with a focus on insurance coverage matters
- Experience analyzing complex insurance policies
- Ability to provide clear coverage recommendations
- Experience drafting litigation-related documents
- Experience participating in litigation proceedings including depositions and mediations
- Familiarity with bad faith insurance claims, CGL, property, E&O, and D&O coverage
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Active Bar Admission in Florida, in good standing
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academics; Law Review or Honors required
