Overview

As an Attorney in U.S. Bank's Equipment Finance Legal Team, you will advise on documentation and risk for equipment leases, loans, and related financing programs. You'll collaborate with management, sales, credit, and vendor partners to structure and negotiate agreements, templates, and new financing products. The role focuses on large-ticket transactions, regulatory and compliance issues, and strategic guidance for EF's vendor ecosystem. Responsibilities
  • Structure and negotiate vendor program and servicing agreements with indirect financing sources
  • Review third-party lending and leasing documents for EF channels
  • Lead structuring, risk assessment, and transactional support for large-ticket lending and leasing
  • Develop and maintain contract templates for major transactions
  • Collaborate with senior management to evaluate new financing products
  • Provide counsel on perfection, collateralization under UCC Articles 2A and 9
  • Advise leadership on legal, regulatory, compliance, or reputational risk
  • Stay informed on equipment finance industry and relevant legislation
  • Prepare memos and training materials for EF personnel
  • Adhere to Code of Ethics and related policies
  • Handle additional duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • Licensed by and in good standing with the relevant state bar
  • 6+ years of experience in complex commercial equipment leases/loans and indirect lending
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
