Overview In HDR's Construction Manager II role, you lead subcontractor coordination, scheduling, and quality control to deliver water projects. You'll develop and implement construction management plans, oversee procurement and contract administration, and supervise safety and quality programs. You work closely with owners, engineers, and contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget construction that meets design intent. Responsibilities- Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling and QC
- Develop and implement Construction Management Plan
- Create procedures for contract administration including change, time, cost, quality and safety management
- Perform CM activities such as procurement planning, schedule reviews, value engineering, constructability reviews, and cost estimation
- Administer construction activities and monitor progress against design requirements
- Coordinate review of submittals, shop drawings, and pay applications
- Prepare, issue and negotiate Change Orders
- Manage baseline and updated construction schedules; control budget and schedule
- Coordinate quality assurance/ control and inspection services
- Ensure Health and Safety program compliance
- Prepare progress reports (daily/weekly/monthly) and management reports
- Oversee project setup and temporary facilities
- Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction planning and management including contracts, document/time/cost/quality management, change management, and site safety
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam, etc.
- Strong people skills and ability to interact with Owner, Engineer, Contractor and other stakeholders
