In Residence/ Ladder Faculty - Gladstone-UCSF Institute of Genomic Immunology

Join a translational research institute at the UCSF/Gladstone partnership to lead a genomic immunology program. You will develop, fund, and mentor a cutting-edge research portfolio at the intersection of immunology, genomics, genome engineering, and immunotherapies. You will contribute to cross-campus collaboration and educate the next generation of scientists and clinicians. The role offers dedicated research space on Mission Bay and a ladder-rank or in-residence appointment, with a strong emphasis on extramural funding and impact on patient therapies.

• Establish and lead an independent research program in genomic immunology/immunotherapy
• Secure extramural funding and manage research projects
• Mentor and educate graduate and medical students
• Collaborate across UCSF and Gladstone on immune-oncology and translational science
• Contribute to teaching and departmental activities
• Develop and translate preclinical models toward clinical immunotherapies

• Strong background in immunology, genomics, genetics, genome engineering, synthetic biology and/or clinical immunotherapy
• Significant achievements and meaningful promise in their field
• Establish or have an existing research program in genomic immunology or immunotherapy
