Overview

As a Construction Manager in Jacobs' Life Science North America group, you will lead on-site construction activities for large life science projects. You'll coordinate multi-discipline teams, manage safety, schedule, and quality, and partner with clients and engineers to deliver on time and on budget. This role offers hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment and the opportunity to shape critical life science facilities. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to drive execution and resolve field challenges, delivering bold, practical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of all on-site construction activities
  • Manage safety, quality, schedule, and performance
  • Lead and coordinate multi-discipline contractors and field personnel
  • Serve as primary construction POC for the client's project management team
  • Interface with engineering, procurement, commercial, and operations to ensure alignment
  • Drive construction planning, sequencing, work packaging, site logistics, and execution strategies
  • Identify and resolve field issues, risks, and interface challenges proactively
  • Provide regular progress reporting and support project controls, forecasting, and change management
Key requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in managing construction projects in industrial, manufacturing, or life sciences environments
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing and execution
  • Experience with 3D modeling software and field presence on active projects
  • Experience managing project or scope budgets
  • Experience with project scheduling
  • Knowledge of QA/QC testing/reporting
  • Knowledge of commissioning and qualification for MEP systems
  • Experience with project controls and procurement strategies
