Overview In this role you will develop as a solicitor within ALG's market-leading EU, Competition & Procurement team, focusing on public procurement matters. You will advise contracting authorities, utilities and bidders across high-stakes Procurements, and work closely with cross functional teams across the firm. You'll handle tender design, documentation, compliance, remedies, and contract management, including litigation in Irish courts. Responsibilities- Advise contracting authorities and utilities on procurement design and implementation
- Support bidders through all tender stages, including strategy and submissions
- Draft tender documentation, framework agreements and public contracts
- Advise on compliance with EU and Irish procurement rules, remedies and standstill obligations
- Manage procurement-related challenges and litigation before Irish courts
- Advise on modifications to public contracts and ongoing contract management
- Support on strategic projects involving infrastructure, energy, technology, and public services
- Advise on interaction between procurement law and broader regulatory frameworks including State aid and the Foreign Subsidies Regulation
- Prepare and deliver client training, public speaking engagements and knowledge initiatives on procurement law developments
Key requirements- Qualified lawyers with 2-5 years' post-qualification experience
- Strong experience or a demonstrated interest in public procurement law
- Experience in a large or medium corporate law firm in Ireland or the United Kingdom
