Overview In this role you will drive the analysis, design, and delivery of ETL solutions leveraging Teradata. You will work with stakeholders to elicit requirements, translate them into architecture and design, and automate ETL development. You will collaborate with SMEs and cross-functional teams to manage timelines and ensure on-time status. You will optimize Teradata performance for large data volumes and apply SQL and Informatica ETL capabilities within BI/DW contexts. This is a hands-on, impact-focused position within a full-time IT team.
Responsibilities- Elicit and analyze requirements and translate them into design/architecture
- Architect and design ETL frameworks using Unix and Teradata
- Automate ETL development through ETL frameworks
- Coordinate with SMEs and stakeholders; manage timelines, escalations, and status reporting
- Apply performance tuning to Teradata for large data volumes
- Develop SQL-based objects (views, procedures, macros, functions) per standards
- Utilize Unix Shell scripting in development tasks
- Use Informatica ETL tool for data integration and workflow execution
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain project alignment
Key requirements- Strong Teradata concepts and logical/physical database design
- 5+ years with Teradata utilities (TPT, TPump, BTEQ, FastLoad, Fastexport, Multiload)
- Deep Teradata performance tuning/optimization experience
- SQL programming experience aligned with requirements and standards
- 6+ years Unix Shell Scripting experience
- Experience with Informatica ETL tool
- Good BI/DW concepts knowledge

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 7+ years IT experience
