Responsibilities- Review applications and financial data to assess risk per CNA guidelines
- Apply pricing methods and predictive modeling to set appropriate pricing
- Use underwriting tools (RST, BPMT, Merlin) and maintain thorough documentation
- Analyze and communicate underwriting decisions, including rate actions and declinations
- Maintain underwriting discipline with CAT management and exposure controls
- Stay current on regulatory, industry, and territory trends
- Manage an assigned portfolio to hit premium, profitability, and retention goals
- Identify cross-sell opportunities across lines of business
- Build and maintain disciplined sales practices using Salesforce
- Develop producer relationships to drive pipeline and performance
- Create distributor-specific business plans to sustain growth
- Negotiate and secure new and renewal business with brokers and clients
- Identify and execute cross-sell opportunities in partnership with underwriting peers
