Overview As Counsel, you will provide independent legal judgment on client matters and support the Law Department in delivering high-quality services. You will supervise attorneys and paralegals, maintain subject-matter expertise, and advise on regulatory developments. The role is remote in Ohio or Florida with standard business hours and occasional travel, contributing to the organization's compliance and strategic legal initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve how legal services are delivered and impact patient-first care.

Responsibilities- Supervise or manage attorneys and paralegals within the department
- Maintain expertise in assigned subject matter areas and advise on legal developments
- Provide timely responses to requests for legal advice in assigned areas
- Identify and implement measures to improve delivery of legal services
- Lead or cooperate on projects and teams within the Law Department and organization
- Interact professionally across all levels of the organization with strong writing and organizational skills
- Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements- Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA accredited law school
- Five+ years as a practicing attorney with at least two years in the area of practice
- Active bar membership in Ohio and/or Florida or ability to obtain within a reasonable time
