You will handle matters in state and federal courts with meaningful responsibility and direct client interaction. Responsibilities- Handle sophisticated commercial litigation matters in state and federal courts across Connecticut
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery materials and other litigation-related documents
- Participate in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings as experience allows
- Conduct legal research and support case strategy development
- Support all phases of case management, including strategy development and trial preparation
- Work closely with senior litigators on complex disputes with high-profile clients
Key requirements- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in Connecticut, in good standing
- 1-3 years of substantive commercial litigation experience
- Experience handling litigation matters in state and federal courts within a law firm setting
- Exposure to employment law-related issues is a plus, but not required
- Judicial clerkship experience is valued, though not mandatory
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
