Overview

In this role you will support the Hanford Site realty and land management programs for the DOE, providing expert guidance on property management and related activities. You will work within an engagement team to plan, coordinate, and monitor real estate functions across acquisitions, disposals, leases, and permits, ensuring compliance with DOE orders and policies. You will develop training, offer strategic recommendations, and help resolve complex real estate/valuation challenges. This position offers federal-government project exposure and cross-functional collaboration to deliver mission-critical outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as technical advisor for Hanford realty and land management in line with DOE orders and regulations
  • Plan, organize, and direct realty and land management programs for the Hanford Site
  • Oversee full real estate functions: acquisition, disposal, utilization, planning, and appraisal
  • Provide regulatory guidance to RL and contractor management on real property activities
  • Support acquisition of interests in land (leases, easements, licenses, permits, etc.) and related transactions
  • Monitor contractors for compliance with DOE and federal real property policies
  • Develop and formalize internal training for Realty Specialist certifications
  • Provide strategic recommendations using project management to realty and land management activities
  • Address complex real estate/appraisal issues and negotiate solutions
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of DOE Environment Management and Hanford Site mission
  • Knowledge of Hanford Site realty records and related documents (easements, quit claim deeds, permits, land transfers)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify conflicts of interest with Hanford Site contractors
  • Fully vaccinated or able to meet entry/testing requirements for federal facilities
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products; advanced Excel/Access/Outlook/PowerPoint; proficient with Adobe Acrobat, data analytic tools, Visio
  • Eligible for security clearance up to Top Secret/DOE Q; background checks as required
