Overview

In this HR Business Partner role, you will partner with senior management to shape HR strategies that support business objectives at our Cheswick, PA site. You will drive employee relations, labor relations, and workforce planning in conjunction with unions, while ensuring compliance and effective communication. You'll support recruitment, compensation, development, and HRIS processes to enable timely, data-driven decisions. This position offers meaningful impact through labor contract work, pipelines with educational institutions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate HR activities including recruiting, communications, compensation, employee relations, and development
  • Manage workplace relationships with employees, management, and on-site union
  • Provide guidance to management on labor relations and collective bargaining agreements
  • Communicate labor issues with union leaders and management; assist in labor contract negotiations
  • Support HRIS data changes (Workday) and related HR processes
  • Conduct investigations into discrimination, employee relations, and ethics; implement corrective actions
  • Advise on legal requirements and regulatory compliance in day-to-day management
  • Develop and maintain university and technical school partnerships to expand the talent pipeline
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to design interview processes and offers
  • Serve as primary contact for employee inquiries and respond professionally
  • Coordinate training for interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, and performance reviews
  • Communicate strategies from senior management to the organization
Key requirements
  • BS Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Labor Relations experience required
  • Five to ten years of progressive HR Generalist experience
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Master's degree a plus
  • PHR or SPHR certification a plus
  • US citizenship required for DoD-related work
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
