Overview As a Senior General Superintendent on a large-scale MM project, you'll lead day-to-day field operations and a wide team of superintendents to deliver on safety, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction. You will be on-site daily, coordinating trades and driving proactive problem-solving to keep the project on track. This role sits at the core of Gilbane's field leadership, shaping outcomes across multiple sites and complex programs. Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate trade contractors and subcontractors to ensure high-quality work aligned with the project schedule
- Supervise construction of large projects or multiple projects
- Develop and mentor the project team
- Manage the project budget for general conditions and site services
- Communicate work plans and changes in the field; maintain contract document awareness
- Ensure permits are obtained for construction activities by subcontractors
- Monitor safety performance and enforce safety policies as primary on-site safety lead
- Lead contractor meetings, oversee daily reports, and document via Procore
- Communicate schedule status and changes to project team and trades
- Coordinate and manage jobsite logistics and quality plans
- Resolve jurisdictional disputes and maintain credible, trustworthy relationships with Owners and trades
Key requirements- BS or MS in Engineering or Construction Management
- 15+ years of experience on $100+ million commercial/industrial projects or multiple projects in superintendent roles
- Experience preferred in life science/manufacturing projects or equivalent
- Strong technical and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to participate in sales processes, interviews, and presentations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Procore; construction-drawing literate
- Experience in all divisions of work, scheduling, and cost control
- Knowledge of labor relations; OSHA 30 certified
