Overview As a Medicinal Chemist at Neomorph, you will apply synthetic and medicinal chemistry expertise to drive drug discovery programs from hit finding to candidate selection in a multidisciplinary setting. You'll lead bench work, collaborate across chemistry, biology, pharmacology, analytical sciences, DMPK and toxicology, and oversee external CRO efforts. You'll help invent proprietary technologies and contribute to patents and publications. This role blends scientific leadership with hands-on execution in a mission-driven company.

Responsibilities- Drive projects from inception, hit finding, lead optimization to candidate selection and clinical development
- Lead by bench presence and actively contribute to laboratory work
- Collaborate with internal drug discovery team across chemistry, biology, pharmacology, analytical sciences, DMPK and toxicology
- Manage external research efforts with contract research organizations
- Invent proprietary technologies and assist in preparing patent applications and publications
- Adhere to laboratory safety policies and practices
Key requirements- BS in synthetic organic chemistry with 6+ years of experience, MS with 3+ years or PhD with 0-2 years
- Track record of impacting drug discovery programs by progressing projects to key decision points
- In-depth knowledge of modern organic synthetic methods, purification and analytical techniques as well as medicinal chemistry
- Interest and passion for new modalities and targeted protein degradation; direct experience is ideal
