Overview

As Privacy Counsel at NVIDIA, you help safeguard data across a world-class AI and technology platform. You will shape privacy governance, advise on vendor contracts and data sharing, and enable compliant product and partnership initiatives. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement scalable privacy processes and training, contributing to NVIDIA's responsible data practices in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment. This role offers visibility into cutting-edge privacy challenges in AI and global data protection regimes, with impact across products and partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Review vendor contracts and DPAs focusing on privacy, data use, and security provisions
  • Support outbound data sharing with third parties, including data transfer risk assessments and ensuring safeguards
  • Develop scalable processes and playbooks for vendor privacy review and third-party data sharing
  • Consult with business partners on privacy considerations for new products, partnerships, and data initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with privacy laws (GDPR, GDPR-like frameworks, CCPA/CPRA, US state statutes) and advise on practical implications
  • Collaborate with the legal and privacy team on data governance issues, drafting guidelines and training materials
  • Grow into broader privacy and data governance responsibilities as the program evolves
Key requirements
  • J.D. with strong academic performance
  • 4+ years of privacy law experience (vendor contracts, DPAs, data sharing)
  • Fundamental understanding of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and other US state privacy statutes
  • California Bar license required
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organizational abilities, and ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Practical, business-minded approach to legal risk and mentorship capabilities
