Overview

In this role you will guide the development and optimization of new and existing products within our R&D team, partnering across functions to translate sales input into viable chemistries and formulations. You will lead experimental planning, oversee lab programs, and act as the primary technical contact for customers. Your work will shape product performance, safety, and manufacturing feasibility while aligning with regulatory and quality standards. Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize, formulate, and introduce new products based on input from sales, marketing, and management
  • Develop products in aerosols and liquid cleaning chemistry, coatings, presaturated wipes, and conductive materials
  • Establish process and quality standards for new and existing products; conduct competitive testing and prepare sales support materials
  • Lead performance evaluations and reformulations; generate technical reports under changing regulatory and material requirements
  • Review specifications and manage BOMs for raw materials, batching, and aerosol specs per Quality requirements
  • Collaborate with Operations on process modifications, troubleshooting, and improvements
  • Assist Technical Service and Customer Service; provide customer-specific testing when requested
  • Conduct distributor and salesperson training; maintain professional distributor/customer interactions
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory; interpret technical papers related to product offerings
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry; organic chemistry background preferred; Master's preferred
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Working understanding of GHS, SDS standards and SDS creation
  • Independent, organized work style; ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Change leadership; adaptable and able to facilitate transformation
  • Decision-making ability and initiative to improve services and processes
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
