Overview

In this Senior Relationship Manager role within Bank of America's Commercial Real Estate team, you cultivate and manage complex client relationships, delivering tailored financial solutions across construction, development, and permanent financing. You collaborate across internal partners to design advisory strategies and cross-sell banking products, aiming to drive profitable growth and client satisfaction. You'll guide conversations on industry trends, capital structure, and financing options, while mentoring peers and adapting to market changes. Responsibilities
  • Manage an extensive portfolio of CRE clients and prospects with revenues from $50M to $2B
  • Acquire, deepen, and maintain profitable client relationships through sales and prospecting
  • Analyze financial statements and industry trends to assess client health
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Investment Banking, Foreign Exchange, Wealth Management) and Product Specialists to tailor financial solutions
  • Lead dialogues with clients/prospects on industry, capital structures, and business issues
  • Coach and mentor peers, demonstrating leadership
  • Adapt to evolving sales practices and market conditions
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in CRE project lending and institutional financing
  • Strong sales, marketing and leadership skills with solid relationships across underwriting, portfolio management, and risk teams
  • Credit underwriting, presentation, negotiation, and financial accounting knowledge
  • Understanding of credit risk, structure, and pricing; familiarity with interest rate management and cash management products (helpful)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and Series 7 & 63 required within 180 days of start date
