Overview

In this role you will underwrite and service profitable individual risk accounts for property facultative business, balancing guidelines with judgment. You will maintain broker and client relationships, contribute to risk audits, and participate in marketing and business development to grow our market presence. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure account profitability and high service quality, while supporting training and onboarding. This position offers the chance to shape risk selection and pricing within a leading, inclusive organization.

Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and price new and renewal property facultative business after reviewing account information
  • Maintain client/broker relationships and service a book of business
  • Participate in annual personal P&D planning and coordinate with leadership
  • Contribute to risk audit processes and support large loss discussions and endorsements
  • Coordinate individual risk T&E expenditures with Territory Manager
  • Support training, onboarding, and development for new hires in the division
  • Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and claims teams to ensure profitability
  • Engage in marketing and business development activities, including broker/market identification and client visits
  • Aim for high-quality customer service and maintain adherence to underwriting and regulatory guidelines
Key requirements
  • Experience in the insurance industry with emphasis on commercial property
  • Understanding of policy rating and proficiency with rating systems
  • Familiarity with policy wording and contracts
  • Excellent PC skills and strong mathematical aptitude
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to work autonomously
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer-focused, responsive, and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
