Overview In this role you configure and maintain Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence functionalities, ensuring accurate, scalable HRIS solutions. You will partner with Payroll, HR, Benefits, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into effective Workday configurations. You drive testing, release readiness, and post-deployment validation to support payroll and time/absence processes. This position offers a pathway to improve HR systems and processes across the organization.
Responsibilities- Configure and maintain Workday Payroll components (earnings, deductions, calculations, eligibility)
- Configure Time Tracking (time calculations, entry rules, validations, overtime, premium pay)
- Configure Absence (plans, accruals, carryover, eligibility, validations)
- Adhere to HRIS change control and governance standards
- Troubleshoot Workday issues impacting payroll, time, and absence
- Collaborate with Payroll and stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
- Evaluate changes and assess impacts and feasibility
- Develop test scenarios and perform unit/regression/system testing
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and validate post-deployment changes
- Review Workday releases and implement relevant features
Key requirements- 3+ years of Workday Payroll, Absence and Time Entry configuration experience
- Understanding of payroll concepts; payroll processing experience a plus
- Experience with test planning and execution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and ability to translate business requirements into solutions
