Responsibilities- Lead profit center support operations, including staffing, systems, and vendor spend, with KPI tracking and insights for management reviews
- Oversee origination and servicing activities (rate, quote, bind, booking, issuance, endorsements, renewals) and collaborate with underwriting to meet SLAs
- Coach and develop Account Managers, Underwriting Assistants, and Operations Analysts; support hiring and workforce planning
- Implement standards for submission, renewal, endorsement, and issuance; prioritize system enhancements and identify cross-organization improvements
- Promote data accuracy for premium and policy data; maintain process documentation and support issue resolution to mitigate risk
- Partner with profit center leadership to deliver a high-quality broker experience and support enterprise capability adoption
- Act as operating partner between profit center, shared services, and centers of excellence; drive automation, digitization, and readiness for product changes
- Monitor service expectations and address persistent issues to align with growth plans
Key requirements- 10+ years of insurance operations experience with 3+ years in a leadership role managing budget and headcount
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting a book/unit around $100M+ in premium and leading multi-function teams
- Strong understanding of loss ratio, expense ratio, and combined ratio drivers and budgeting
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and balance quality, speed, accuracy, and customer experience
- Comfort with process improvement, technology adoption, and operational innovation
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across organizational levels
