Overview In this role you will lead the architecture, design and delivery of Big Data solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn complex data challenges into scalable platforms. You will guide and review technical work, drive POCs, and support sales pursuits to meet client needs. Responsibilities- Lead the architecture and development of Big Data solutions for multiple projects
- Review code, guide the team, and implement POCs across technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, MapReduce, and HBase
- Lead 2-3 Big Data implementations as the architecture lead
- Implement Big Data platforms on distributions such as Cloudera, Hortonworks or MapR
- Engage in estimation, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of architectures
- Collaborate with sales and pursue client-focused opportunities to deliver high-quality solutions
- Present and explain complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels
- Participate in a learning culture that emphasizes teamwork and diversity
Key requirements- 6+ years of Big Data project implementation experience (requirements, architecture, design)
- 3+ years of leading technical teams and client-facing experience
- Strong understanding of new architectures and ability to drive independent projects
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication, with ability to present to business audiences
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent, with possible equivalency replacements
- 6+ years in Big Data Technologies
- 12+ years in Data Warehousing
- 4+ years in core Java and its ecosystem
- 3+ years experience on Oracle big data stack (Cloudera, ODI, Fusion)
