Overview In this role you will support a leading US law firm's Chicago office on high-profile corporate matters, focusing on M&A and private equity. You will work within a collaborative, cross-practice team to advise clients and structure complex transactions across jurisdictions. You'll draft and negotiate core deal documents and provide strategic legal guidance to corporate clients. Responsibilities- Advise on public and private M&A transactions, joint ventures and strategic investments
- Represent private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in various transactions
- Draft, review and negotiate transactional documents (purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, etc.)
- Collaborate across practice areas to support multi-jurisdictional deals
- Provide ongoing strategic legal advice to corporate clients
Key requirements- Juris Doctor (JD) from a top law school
- Admitted to practice in Illinois
