Overview In this role you will lead Nasdaq's ethics and compliance program, coordinating across teams to strengthen regulatory and risk management processes. You will advise on complex regulatory changes, oversee acquisition due diligence and integration, and support incident response. You'll work with executive leadership to shape enterprise-wide policies and provide practical legal guidance to business units in a fast-paced tech environment. Responsibilities- Coordinate and improve compliance programs aligned with DOJ and OFAC frameworks
- Manage regulatory change processes for global technology and information services lines
- Assess proposed regulations for Nasdaq impact and represent in regulatory development
- Collaborate with Risk Management to integrate compliance into risk frameworks
- Provide legal support to Nasdaq Ethics and Global Compliance teams
- Maintain Code of Ethics and compliance policies with updates and trainings
- Partner with CCO on location-based Ethics and Compliance Representative Program
- Develop performance measures for reporting to executives and the board
- Lead due diligence and integration workstreams for acquisitions
- Support legal needs for incidents, ad hoc requests, or surge periods
Key requirements- At least 8 years of attorney experience with breadth across compliance areas
- Experience in compliance program structuring, technology regulation (excluding privacy), sanctions/export control, anti-corruption, corporate ethics, and/or incident response/crisis management
- Desirable: experience in commercial contracting or advising a revenue-generating unit
- Ability to translate complex legal content for executive audiences
- Collaborative, cross-functional work style
- Experience leveraging AI, automation and technology tools for analysis and reporting
- JD from accredited US law school and bar admission in at least one US state or DC
