Overview In this role you prepare tissue specimens by sectioning, staining and mounting for microscopic examination, supporting the Pathologist with evaluations. You ensure compliance with CLIA '88 and perform quality control, QA, maintenance and troubleshooting. Duties may include clerical tasks and specimen collection as part of core laboratory services. You join a team focused on clinical excellence and innovation, contributing to accurate diagnoses and efficient workflow.
Responsibilities- Section, stain and mount tissue specimens for microscopic examination
- Assist Pathologist with examinations and interpretations of submitted tissues
- Operate in accordance with CLIA '88 guidelines
- Perform quality control, quality assurance, and routine maintenance
- Troubleshoot equipment and workflows as needed
- Possibly perform clerical tasks, specimen collection, and related laboratory services
Key requirements- NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program or equivalent education path as described
- HT certification within 1 year of eligibility
- Clinical histopathology experience or appropriate education background as specified
