Overview As Building Automation Systems Specialist II at Schneider Electric, you will deliver BAS projects in the field, collaborating with project managers across design, software, installation, startup, commissioning, and owner training. You will diagnose complex control system issues and implement sequences, databases, and graphics for new and retrofit builds. You'll lead startup and commissioning activities, provide as-built documentation, and ensure sequences meet specifications. This role emphasizes independent ownership and driving Operations Excellence within a fast-paced environment, contributing to a sustainable, connected built environment.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex control system malfunctions across various electronics and software languages
- Implement databases, control sequences, programs, and graphics for new and retrofit BAS projects
- Provide startup/checkout documentation for commissioning and validation
- Demonstrate BAS project sequences to meet commissioning requirements
- Commission controls installation and verify sequences meet specifications
- Provide sketches of field changes for engineering corrections and as-built drawings
Key requirements- Two-year degree in related technical field or related work experience
- HVAC program graduation or equivalent technical training
- Field experience installing and servicing technical systems at customer sites
- Ability to work with limited supervision on routine tasks
- Ability to obtain/maintain government security clearances as needed
- Technical experience with commissioning and programming of DDC controls
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical troubleshooting
- Highly organized and able to prioritize in a high-paced environment
