Overview

In this role you will provide practical, business oriented legal guidance for Visa's Consulting & Analytics offerings, partnering with product, privacy, compliance, and regional teams. You'll structure and negotiate commercial and data-related agreements, advise on regulatory and IP considerations, and help launch new VCA offerings. You will support strategic growth while balancing legal risk in a fast-paced, global environment. This is a collaborative, cross functional role with a measurable impact on client solutions and growth at Visa.

Responsibilities
  • Provide timely, business oriented legal advice for VCA offerings
  • Draft, review, and negotiate consulting, data, pilot, and strategic client agreements
  • Advise on legal, regulatory, privacy, IP, and data use aspects of new products and initiatives
  • Partner with stakeholders to balance legal risk against commercial objectives
  • Support development and launch of new VCA offerings and strategic growth
  • Review client-facing materials, methodologies, and marketing content
  • Collaborate with Privacy, Data Policy, Compliance, Regulatory Legal, Product Legal, Finance, and Risk teams
  • Develop scalable legal processes, templates, playbooks, and training materials
  • Monitor evolving legal/regulatory developments impacting VCA products/services
  • Contribute to broader Value-Added Services and Product Legal initiatives as needed
Key requirements
  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
  • State Bar admission in good standing and ability to be registered in-house in the job location
  • 2+ years of relevant legal experience (preferred)
  • Experience negotiating and drafting commercial agreements
  • Ability to advise on technology, data, SaaS, fintech, payments, or related commercial transactions
  • Strong judgment in assessing legal risk against business objectives
  • Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and client counseling skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical business advice
