Overview In this Senior MSL role, you will act as a field-based scientific expert, delivering clinical education and medical information to healthcare professionals. You'll shape Ardelyx's scientific and clinical strategies through collaborations with KOLs and thought leaders, advancing research opportunities and safe asset utilization. You'll lead advanced scientific engagement, mentor peers, and contribute to national field medical initiatives. Responsibilities- Serve as the primary field medical liaison for medical information and scientific exchange
- Develop and manage relationships with local, regional, and national medical/scientific leaders
- Provide accurate, unbiased responses to unsolicited information requests in the therapeutic field
- Establish relationships with thought leaders and centers to expand research/education opportunities
- Engage in non-product scientific discussions (disease state, epidemiology, unmet needs)
- Prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment and incorporate HCP feedback
- Participate in advisory boards and company meetings
- Attend key medical congresses and conferences as needed
- Lead department-wide projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Provide strategic scientific insights to support objectives and monitor competitive trends
- Mentor and coach junior MSLs and support onboarding and field excellence
- Travel up to 70% locally, regionally, and nationally
- Maintain knowledge of FDA/OIG requirements and PhRMA Code for compliant exchanges
- Demonstrate project management capabilities and cross-functional collaboration
Key requirements- Doctorate degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, DNP, etc) in biological sciences with 5+ years of MSL Medical Affairs experience
- Advanced Medical/Scientific masters degree (NP, PA) with clinical expertise will be considered
