Overview In this role you will serve as a senior legal advisor across Hunt Energy Company's power infrastructure lifecycle. You will shape project planning, construction, operation, and financing by drafting and negotiating EPC, MSAs, and related contracts. You'll support acquisitions, dispositions, and complex project finance, coordinating with lenders and internal teams. Your work helps manage risk, ensure compliance, and enable timely project delivery. This high-visibility position partners with senior leadership to drive strategic energy initiatives.

Responsibilities- Draft, negotiate and manage EPC agreements and related contracts
- Advise on permitting during development and construction
- Negotiate real property agreements (land leases, easements, site access)
- Negotiate MSAs and vendor contracts
- Identify and manage legal risks across construction timelines
- Draft and negotiate O&M agreements with third parties
- Support project finance transactions (construction financing, term loans, tax equity)
- Coordinate with lenders and internal teams on loan docs and security
- Lead or support due diligence for acquisitions of development-stage and operating assets
- Draft/negotiate purchase agreements and ancillary documents
- Coordinate signing and closing with outside counsel and investment banking teams
Key requirements- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Texas State Bar admission or eligibility
- 7+ years in energy, infrastructure, or project finance law
- Experience across at least two of: EPC/construction contracts, MSA/vendor and O&M agreements, project finance, or M&A in energy
